In response to a challenge to construct a garment out of recycled non-fabric materials, I created a dress out of used CDs. I experimented with the pattern, structure, and malleability of the material. For inspiration I drew from crystals, specifically the Aurora Quartz and its vibrant, reflective colors as well as its architectural yet organic form.
